Story

Before history was recorded in books, four Wizards–each with the power to control one element of nature–protected a vast kingdom. Rumors abound that they were blood brothers, but little is actually known of the WIZARD OPS beyond the legends of their magical conquests.

Strained by years of bitter war, the kingdom was at last united by a joyful marriage. The King, the eldest son of a long line of chemists, found his equal in the loving embrace of the Queen, who hailed from the magical realm. Together, they turned to the Wizards for guidance, and a golden age of peace and prosperity ensued.

Soon, the vibrant kingdom was blessed with the arrival of a tiny Princess. Overjoyed, the King and Queen could think of no better caretakers for their precious daughter than the Wizards. With her father's scientific curiosity and her mother's raw magical talent, the Princess proved to be a handful–even for the infamous Wizard Ops.

On the eve of the Princess's 10th birthday, the Queen sought to create a new feat of magic for the celebration. Working deep in the forest, the Queen enlisted the help of the Wizard Ops. Too far from their potions and salves to rescue the Queen, the Wizards were forced to watch helplessly as the Queen died in a magic accident.

Blinded by grief and terrified of losing his daughter, the King banished all magic from the kingdom. With his top chemists sowing the seeds of anger and distrust in his heart, the King declared the Wizards guilty of murder, shackled them with crystals to prevent all magic, and imprisoned them in the four corners of the kingdom.

Without the protection of the Wizards, the kingdom quickly fell back into darkness. The Mad Maker, a struggling chemist, seized the opportunity to wrest control from the King. Kidnapping the Princess over and over for an ever-increasing ransom, the Mad Maker exhausted the kingdom's coffers and eroded the King's soul.

Facing yet another ransom note, the penniless King grew desperate. He implored his top chemists for help, but received only blank stares and half-hearted excuses. The King realized that he only had one hope to save his daughter–the Wizards.

With word spreading of the King's plan, the Mad Maker's forces descended on the kingdom. Driving his horse to the point of collapse, the King raced across his realm to free the Fire Wizard. But years of imprisonment had diminished the Fire Wizard's magic.

As the clock runs down on the latest ransom demand, the Fire Wizard must free his brethren and reunite the WIZARD OPS. Only with their combined powers can the four Wizards hope to stop the ever-powerful Mad Maker and save the Princess.
